• affiliate_information_form_fillable202303.pdf - needed for each affiliate (student, volunteer, etc.) who accesses ARS IT equipment or who needs unescorted access within a federal facility

We also wanted to clear a few items up about affiliates. We have a lot of new people that may not know the process.

1. Foreign Nationals affiliates get 2 different “clearances” before allowed to work in the Federal building or USDA operated facilities.
   a. They receive a name trace clearance. This is done through the unit’s program Support Assistant (PSA).
   b. Then they will have a Non-Federal suitability ticket completed. Which is coordinated through the PSA and completed by Location Support Staff (LSS).
2. US Citizens affiliates will only get a Non-Federal suitability ticket. Which is coordinated through the PSA and completed by Location Support Staff (LSS).

The supervisor will be notified along with the PSA for the unit once the person can work.

Reminder no person should be working in USDA facilities unless cleared.
