36th International Carrot Conference

August 15-16, 2013
Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center
Madison, Wisconsin, USA

Home page

On August 15 and 16, 2013, the 36th International Carrot Conference will be held at the Monona Terrace Convention Center in Madison, Wisconsin. The International Carrot Conference is held every 18 to 24 months and its purpose is to bring together everyone and anyone interested in carrots: growers, packers, shippers, seed producers, breeders, pathologists, sellers, marketers, University and government researchers, extension specialists, students, and anyone else interested in the carrot industry.

Our meeting, perhaps more aptly called a workshop, will include oral presentations and posters on all aspects of carrots. We invite your presentation. Presentation categories include 1) production and marketing, 2) diseases and pests, and 3) breeding and genetics. Be sure to include the title and presentation category on the registration form. We will contact you to confirm your presentation/poster is accepted. A title and abstract should be sent to Phil Simon (psimon@wisc.edu) by April 30, 2013. See below for details. The conference will also include a field trial to observe a wide range of carrot cultivars submitted by seed companies from around the world. Pre- and post-conference meetings and tours are under discussion, and we will inform you as plans are made.
