31st INTERNATIONAL CARROT CONFERENCE
SEPTEMBER 11-14, 2005
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations will be included in the Conference Proceedings. The final decision on categorization is reserved to the organizing committee as part of its final acceptance decision. The deadline for submission of abstracts is April 15, 2005. They will eventually be published in PHYTOPROTECTION, the scientific journal of the Quebec society for the Protection of Plants, a multidisciplinary journal dealing with all the aspects of plant protection. 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Electronic submission of abstracts via email is required. These should be submitted to: plouffed@agr.gc.ca, with the following subject line: "Carrot Conference Abstract". Receipt of all abstracts will be acknowledged.

The abstract should be a concise description of your work and contain a description of the problem, results and concluding statement. Your abstract should have between 250 and 500 words and have been revised by two colleagues; the abstracts will be published as submitted in the Conference Proceedings. If possible, submit a Word file with no headers nor footers, using the font Times New Roman, single spacing and the following format:

- Title - bold 14 points - Name(s) of the author(s) - bold 12 points - Affiliation, city, state/province, country - italics, 12 points - Empty line - 12 points - Text - 12 points, left aligned

On a separate page: - Provide keywords that appropriately describe the content of your abstract; this will help the Committee to place presentations with a common theme in one session - Indicate the type of presentation: oral or poster - Indicate the name and complete address, fax and e-mail of the contact author

INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER

Poster boards and pins will be provided. A space of 120 x 120 cm is available for each poster. Authors are free to use any format desired, as long as the poster fits within the size limits given.
